When the facts of a case live inside a medical record, you need someone who knows exactly what they mean. Christell P. Antoine, BSN, RN, CCRN, has spent over a decade at the bedside of the most critically ill patients — in cardiac ICUs, post-anesthesia care units, and health system operations. Since 2017 she has brought that clinical expertise to the legal arena as an independent Legal Nurse Consultant and Expert Witness, serving attorneys and healthcare organizations nationwide.
Background
I am a registered nurse with over 17 years of clinical experience, the majority of it in post-anesthesia care (PACU) and critical care settings. I hold the CCRN certification — the gold standard credential in critical care nursing — and have spent my career managing the most acutely ill patients in high-stakes, high-pressure environments.
That clinical foundation is what I bring to legal and compliance work. When I review a medical record, I am not reading it as a document — I am reading it as a clinician who has lived the decisions it describes. I understand what the standard of care requires, where documentation gaps create exposure, and what a jury needs to understand about what happened at the bedside.
I founded The Witness Stand RN to serve attorneys and healthcare organizations who need clinical analysis they can rely on — analysis that is precise, well-documented, and defensible under scrutiny.
